William Cullen has been an emergency services provider for over 40 years. He is a former Fire Chief and former Fire Commissioner. Bill is a New Jersey Level 2 fire instructor and is currently a senior fire instructor with the Somerset County Emergency Services Training Academy in New Jersey. Bill’s background is in Firefighting, Hazardous Materials, Fire Chemistry, Industrial Emergency Response and Incident Management. Up until his retirement in 2012, Bill was the Assistant Emergency Coordinator for a large Fortune 100 research company in New Jersey. He is a member of Franklin Township Office of Emergency Management as a Hazardous Materials Technical Specialist. He holds many certifications including: Confined Space, Incident Manager, On Scene Incident Commander, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Fire Department Incident Safety Officer. He is a Principal in Gold Shield TEAM LLC, a company dedicated to providing Training, Education, Assessment and Management to municipal agencies and businesses. Bill is a frequent speaker at many of the major Hazardous Materials conferences throughout the country.
