Michelle Bowers is an experienced project manager, with skill sets including management and organizational ability. She is adept at handling concurrent projects, ensuring project excellence and quality, meeting budget and schedule requirements, and managing consultant coordination. Focused on maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships, and meeting deliverable schedules.
Her project manager experience includes dozens of major buildings, including the Harris County Civil Courts Building, Houston, TX, Houston Metro Building, Houston, TX, and the Harris County Criminal Justice Center, Houston, TX. Projects of note include:
Las Vegas McCarran Terminal 3, Las Vegas, NV - A $1.03 billion facility that became the third terminal for the airport. Responsible for coordinating work between teams working in Houston, Alexandria, VA and Las Vegas; managing the five-person Houston interiors team; and documentation, detailing and consultant coordination of two million SF of ceilings in the building.
Radiology Renovation, University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, TX - A 62,000 SF complex expansion that was carried out in three phases while the facility remained continuously open and operational.
City of Houston Central Permitting Building, Houston, TX – Responsibilities for the renovation of this 187,000 SF LEED Gold building included her creation of a multi-divisional program integrating the needs of 36 different City permitting departments.
She is an active BQ member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, serving in Flotilla 6-12. As a volunteer, she served in the Command Post during the Houston Area Mega-Shelter Operations following landfall of Hurricane Katrina.
She holds a Bachelor’s of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a licensed Architect in the State of Texas, #13788, and a LEED accredited professional in the Building Design & Construction (BD+C) specialty. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, an accreditation administered by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI.)
