Lisa Taylor is an emergency manager, incident responder, and trainer with over 18 years of United States Coast Guard, volunteer emergency medical service, public-sector, non-governmental, and private-sector experience responding to natural and man-made disasters, oil spills, hazardous materials releases, marine fires, mass rescue operations, care and shelter events, and national special security events, and marine homeland security events. She currently serves as an Emergency Management Planning Specialist with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency. She recently completed a comprehensive review and update of the State of Tennessee Continuity of Operations Plan.
Her military awards include 3 Meritorious Team Commendations, the Coast Guard Achievement Medal, 3 Coast Guard Commandant’s Letter of Commendation Ribbons, and numerous unit awards. She is authorized to wear the Coast Guard Marine Safety Professional Pin.
She has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a Master’s Degree in Fine Art from the Academy of Art University. She holds certifications in both Type-2 Resource Unit Leader and Type-2 Resource Unit Leader. She is a FEMA-certified Master Continuity Practitioner.
