LTC Bobbie Jackson is an internationally recognized and certified emergency manager, business continuity professional, incident manager, and trainer with over 30 years of Texas Guard, United States Army, and private-sector experience responding to man-made and natural disasters, to include oil spills, hazardous materials releases and explosions, mass rescue operations, mass care and shelter events, national special security events, homeland security events and most recently international pandemic response and management.
She has served a as a subject matter expert on the Local Emergency Planning Committee and is an active member of the County of Governments for the greater DFW Metroplex. She has served on the Planning Committee for the Hot Zone Hazardous Materials Conference; and is an active member of the Region VI Public-Private Partnership Caucus of the International Association of Emergency Managers.
She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the International Association of Emergency Managers, the National Emergency Management Association, Emergency Management Associations of Texas, and National Guard Association of Texas. She is a lifetime member of the United States Chemical Corps Regiment, Psi Chi and Golden Key National Honor Society, the Veteran of Foreign Wars, the All-Hazards Incident Management Teams’ Association, and the National Rifle Association.
Bobbie's military awards include two Legion of Merit Medals, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achievement Medals, a Coast Guard Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, two National Defense Medals, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal w/Campaign Star (2nd award), Army Service and Overseas Service Ribbons (2nd Award) and Army Superior Unit award. She was awarded the Hot Stuff Award as member from the North Central Texas County of Governments.
She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Texas State University and a Master’s Degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Defense from American Military University. She holds certifications as a Master Exercise Practitioner, Master Business Continuity Professional, Certified Emergency Manager, and Certified Homeland Protection Professional.
